A.G. Wassenaar, Inc. is proud to have been serving the Front Range community and construction industry since 1972. Our firm is locally owned and operated from our corporate headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Since our inception, the company has expanded to include expertise in many areas of geotechnical and environmental engineering. Our current staff of over 125 employees includes experienced and dedicated professional engineers, environmental professionals, industrial hygienists, geologists, field and laboratory technicians, and various support personnel.

We at AGW strive to offer our clients the most comprehensive geotechnical, environmental and construction management services in the region. The goal of our firm is to provide personalized, practical, solution oriented, state-of-the-art design criteria and services in a professional and responsive manner. We are focused on and take pride in meeting and exceeding our clients’ expectations, as well as being an integral part of any project team. We like to say we are building relationships through execution of quality services, and we are helping build our community one relationship at a time.

We are actively involved in local practice issues through the Colorado Association of Geotechnical Engineers (CAGE). Our staff includes three former presidents and several active members of CAGE. We have a comprehensive quality assurance program which is subject to regular internal auditing and appropriate revision to meet the requirements for consistent results and reliable data. This program is applied to all of our personnel and equipment. Our technicians receive ongoing training and qualification records are maintained. Training seminars are conducted, both in-house and by our professional and industry associations, for technicians and other trainees. All of our measuring equipment is calibrated and traceable back to the National Bureau of Standards.

New Colorado Springs Office A. G. Wassenaar, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of our Colorado Springs branch office. The office was opened in Fall 2006 with the intent of further serving the Southern Colorado Front Range construction industry. Robert U. Branson, P.E. will serve as Branch Manager and Senior Engineer for the office. Mr. Branson has over 29 years experience in the geotechnical community, including 7 1/2 years serving the Southern Colorado region. An important cultural aspect of our firm is to give back to our community. We continue to be dedicated to the betterment of our community, through our support of various charitable organizations such as Habitat For Humanity, Home-Aid of Denver, HBA Building Foundation, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Boys and Girls Club, and others. Extreme Makeover Home Edition A.G. Wassenaar was proud to be a part of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Our own Mike Conner prepared the soils report for the duplex that was built in Arvada, and Don Taylor and Kenny Broseghini took part during the foundation installation to observe the drilling of straight shaft piers and the steel placement for the foundation walls. In the spirit of our company’s culture, an effort was made to help provide housing for two homeless families. We were fortunate to work with and for an outstanding home builder, Standard Pacific Homes. Client Recognition Recently, our President, Don Taylor, received Village Homes’ highest recognition, the Baker Award. The award is presented to a subcontractor/subconsultant who, throughout their years of service, has exhibited the most outstanding work ethic and quality of service.
